It’s a new dawn
It took me 1 year, 5 months and 10 days to return to Barcelona. But I have returned. “Haven’t you been saying that for a while now?” Doubters would ask when I [...] This is the start of a new chapter. I don’t know where it will end but I do know where it will [...] Ah life in the capital! If only it was all bread and roses… Live from Berlin! It feels good to be back in Berlin, despite the clouds and rain. I’m learning quite a bit about immigration and integration during this trip. I just booked me flight for sunny Barcelona so if nothing else I have that to look forward to. But I am enjoying myself, make no mistake!
It’s that time of year again! I’m off to Europe. First I take Berlin, then I am finally making my way to Barcelona. I’m moving into a new phase of The Europeans, one that will hopefully see me working even harder and moving more quickly. Time, as it always does, will tell. I [...] The good folks at the St. Louis American did a piece about me and my work that you can check out here. Thanks to Rebecca Rivas for doing such a great job! Engineer, Geneva, Switzerland 2007 So to celebrate my current show in St. Louis I will be giving away five signed posters! Sorry I can’t do more but postage being what it is and my paycheck being what it is I’m sure [...] Some of you have mentioned that you had never seen some of the images I have in my current show at the May Gallery so here is some documentation from the show along with a nice article that appeared in the student newspaper, enjoy! Didn’t I just get here? Well, yes I did. But already my face is turned back towards the east and Europe, where I will return next month. I was, and still am, looking forward to a whole month in NYC without any travel but I must prepare to return to Europe, first stop, Berlin! I’m actually [...] I had a great time in St. Louis and the reception for my exhibition was great! Thanks again to Bill Barrett and the May Gallery for hosting me during my stay! It is always interesting to both see the work up on the walls and to watch people’s reaction to it. This was the biggest exhibition [...] I hope that some of you can stop by my talk at Webster University this afternoon or the reception for my exhibition later on! It should be a great time! It’s easy to get wrapped up in the moment, and for me this is a turning point. I wanted to exhibit my work as a unit [...] Rolling on… So as you might have discerned I’m back out on the road. This week I will be in sunny Rochester which is the home of Kodak, one of the sponsors of The Europeans. I will be speaking and showing images at the Rochester Institute of Technology among other venues. Of course I’d always [...] Shaolin in Slovakia. A child runs in the dome of Berlin's Bundestag. Many of you know my documentary work but I also have an appreciation for the more abstract things in life as well. |
