We were down in Savannah at the Craft Brew Fest and coming back to Atlanta when we came across Ole Rudy’s Bar-B-Que.

Off the side of the road
We were desperate to find something to eat. We thought about hitting up a Waffle House or perhaps a Denny’s but then we saw the sign and knew we had to stop at Rudy’s.

The man himself
So we ordered a whole bunch of food including the most smoked pulled pork we’ve had on our trip. The ribs were also excellent but maybe it was the freshly made crunchy coleslaw that we were in love with. It’s really hard to say.

Mmmmmm... menu
For the past fifteen years Rudy has been sharing his family’s recipes for everything from Brunswick Stew to pulled pork with diners in the area and he has plans to expand just across the way. Speaking with him you understand how passionate he is about his BBQ and how much joy he takes in satisfying his customers.
“We always say our goal is to make you come back,” he told me.
